MathMagic Personal Edition is a stand-alone equation editor application for editing any mathematical expressions and symbols with easy-to-use graphical interface and various powerful features.

- MathMagic v4.0 does not rely on InterLok™ copy protection engine any more. So it will ask you to "Authorize" again when you launch it even though you have authorized your previous copy of MathMagic on your computer. Please use the previous "Customer #" and "Serial #" for the authorization, if you bought MathMagic in the past. Otherwise, you may use MathMagic as "Trial" mode up to 50 times before you decide to buy.
- MathMagic v4.0 will ask you to download a newer version when a newer version is released. And then it will be expired.

- Authorization engine and interface is changed from a third party InterLok® Engine to its own.
- Color is supported. Color floating window and Color menu are added.
- Printing equations from MS Word document works well without jagged.
- TCP/IP error handling has been changed when launched together with MathMagic Pro Editon.
- Control-clicking on both line spacing icons(wide, narrow) on Main Toolbar now changes the spacing gap in 1/10 unit of the regular unit. And its minimum value and maximum value range is checked.
- MathMagic now can read its Preference file even if it is opened by other version or locked.
- StyleSet is supported on Mac OS Classic.
- File icon is added for EPS format and changed for PICT format.
- Exporting color equation in GIF and EPS format will be limited to Black&White image.
- Some more bugs fixed.
- User Guide is updated to cover Color features.
