MathMagic Personal Edition is a stand-alone equation editor for editing any mathematical expressions and symbols with easy-to-use graphical interface and various powerful features.

- "MathMagic Personal" does NOT come with InDesign plugins and does NOT work with Adobe InDesign.
Adobe InDesign does NOT work with MathMagic Personal.
If you'd like to insert equations directly into InDesign documents, re-edit equations in InDesign documents just by double-clicking, and align the equation's baseline to the text,
"MathMagic Pro for InDesign" is the right product.
- "MathMagic Personal" and "MathMagic Pro for InDesign" are different products so "MathMagic Personal" can NOT be upgraded to "MathMagic Pro for InDesign".
- MathMagic User Guide is not included in the installer to reduce the download size. It is available from our download page separately.

- Added: 5 new quadruple integral templates to the Integral palette.
- Added: Bold and Italic style support for Subscript and Sub-subscript boxes from the Define Style dialog (MathMagic Pro only).
- Added: "Do not apply if the first character is Uppercase" option to Style menu -> Auto Apply Style submenu for "Variable" style. (Currently applied globally in Windows version; Mac version supports per-equation setting.)
- Added: Gap adjustment for superscript and subscript boxes in Large Operator templates (Define Spacing -> Limit & Large Op pane).
- Added: Circle line thickness adjustment for Contour Integral (Define Spacing -> Sum & Integral pane).
- Changed: Equation Info window expanded and displays more info.
- Changed: Quad-click now behaves the same as triple-click (selects entire box or line), instead of reverting to double-click behavior.

- If installing on Windows XP,
- Download the latest Installer from download page
- Double click on the installer icon to proceed the installation
- Launch MathMagic application from Windows menu or from the following location:
\Program Files (x86)\MathMagic Personal Edition\MathMagic Personal 9.x.exe
|
- If installing on Windows Vista or newer,
- Download the latest Installer from download page
- Right-click on the installer application, and select 'Properties".
- Double click on the installer icon to proceed the installation.
- After installation, select MathMagic application from the following location:
\Program Files (x86)\MathMagic Personal Edition\MathMagic Personal 9.x.exe
- Right-click on it, select 'Properties".
- Select "Windows XP SP3" compatibility mode, and turn on "Run as an Administrator" privilege.
(This is to make MathMagic read/write Registry correctly. Otherwise, Registry error message might be displayed depending on your log-in ID's privilege.)
- Then, launch MathMagic Personal application.

| Uninstall MathMagic Personal utility will help you remove most of the installed files. But in some cases some installed files may not be removed if used by other application or system. |
