    If you are using macOS X 10.14 or older, please use the 32-bit version.
If you are using macOS X 10.14 or newer, please use the 64-bit version.

On macOS X 10.14, you can use both 32-bit version and 64-bit version. The 32-bit version may have a bit more features available. The 64-bit version may offer you more modern user interface.

MathMagic Lite is a FREE equation editor.
It is a stand-alone application for writing and editing any mathematical expressions and symbols with easy-to-use interface and various powerful features.
MathMagic Lite offers various symbols and templates for elementary ~ high school math and post-secondary math.
MathMagic Lite Edition works well with most word processors like iWork Pages or Mellel, presentation software like Keynote or PowerPoint, graphic software such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, and more, via Copy and Paste, Drag and Drop, or Exporting in SVG, PNG, JPG and other formats.

* What's New (v10.15 - May 21, 2024)
  • Added: "Reset Nudge" command now supports resetting multiple Nudged parts in the whole selected area.
  • Changed: Some of the default setting values and check boxes are changed to improve the quality and the convenience.
  • Fixed: Pasting LaTeX, MathML, PlainTeX and other text based expressions works better now.
  • Fixed: 2-byte fonts had issues with EPS format when the "Support Unicode fonts better" option turned on.(Pro)

  • Added: View -> Show Bold Large Symbols now work with Frame templates and several other direct drawing template symbols.
  • Added: File -> Import/Export Options dialog has a new option for PNG & JPEG for dithering. (MathMagic Pro and Personal only)
  • Fixed: Preferences -> "Make Default" button did not maintain the font settings for Styles for some fonts.

  • Added: Style menu -> Bold Template Symbol command is now supported when the cursor is located in a template to apply Bold face to the template symbol or frame.

  • Added: Edit -> "Insert Baseline when Exporting" option now works when saved as SVG format.
  • Improved: Improved the image quality for PNG and JPG formats (MathMagic Personal and Pro).
  • Fixed: Some Frame templates were not drawn exactly on the screen.
  • Fixed: Some Frame templates had unmatched color boundary when a background color was applied inside.

* What's New (v10.1 - November 6, 2023)
  • Added: "Copy as Alt. Text" command added to both the Edit menu and the right-clicked contextual menu to help users in composing accurate descriptions of equations. This feature facilitates the quick creation of equation descriptions, enabling easy reading and searchability for improved accessibility.
  • Added: Warning message is added if the width of the current equation is wider than the user-specified "Max Equation Width" value, when saving in an image format: PNG, JPG, SVG.
  • Added: User can add or remove MathMagic data when saving in PDF, from File -> Import/Export Options: General options pane. When re-editing of the PDF file is not necessary, removing MathMagic date can reduce the PDF file size. The same option is also supported for PNG and JPG.
  • Changed: MathMagic generated PDF files are compatible with Affinity Publisher.
  • Changed: ASCIIMath, LaTeX, Speech Text options now continue the saving or copying even if there are some unconvertible symbols or expressions in the equation.
  • Fixed: Full Background color now works with PNG and JPG formats (Gray only for MathMagic Lite).
  • Fixed: Edit -> "Copy as JPG" command copied 50% reduced image than the specified Copy ratio to the clipboard.
  • Fixed: View -> Show Max. Width Margin option now displays the vertical margin bar even if the current equation width is not wider than the "Max Equation Width" value specified in the Define Spacing -> "Export Margin and others" tab.
