MathMagic Personal Edition is a stand-alone equation editor application for editing any mathematical expressions and symbols with easy-to-use graphical interface and various powerful features.
MathMagic Personal Edition works well with any word processors, presentation software like Keynote or PowerPoint, graphic software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and more.

- "MathMagic Personal" does NOT come with InDesign plugins and does NOT work with Adobe InDesign.
Adobe InDesign does NOT work with MathMagic Personal.
If you'd like to insert equations directly into InDesign documents, re-edit equations in InDesign documents just by double-clicking, and align the equation's baseline to the text,
"MathMagic Pro for InDesign" is the right product.
- "MathMagic Personal" and "MathMagic Pro for InDesign" are different products so "MathMagic Personal" can NOT be upgraded to "MathMagic Pro for InDesign".
- MathMagic User Guide is not included in the installer any more to reduce the download size. You can download it separately.

- Added: Function names can now be enabled or disabled, or added or deleted by user to handle automatic applying of 'Function' style while typing, from Style -> Function Names... dialog.
- Added: A left-button click on the ruler works the same as a right-button click, showing up the pop-up contextual menu for the Ruler.
- Added: File -> Convert dialog supports some old MSWord .doc files for extracting equations out of the documents as a batch conversion. Newer .docx files and documents saved by MSWord Windows versions may not be supported.
- Changed: The shape of Square root and Reverse Square root frames are more sharply displayed on the screen.
- Changed: 1000% and 2000% view rates are added to the View menu, replacing 600% and 1600%.
- Fixed: File - Convert... dialog did not save in PNG and JPG formats for batch conversion on macOS 13 or newer.
- Fixed: Line thickness fixed for the lines added by "Line Between Boxes".
- Fixed: Sub-box location fixed for multiple Integrals when the Gap for Integral symbols assigned.
- Fixed: Sub-box location matched for both Fixed height Integrals and Variable height Integrals.
- Fixed: When View -> "Remember Last View rate" is turned on, the default View rate for New window, specified in the Preferences -> Misc, did not apply to new equation windows. Last opened equation's view rate was applied instead.

- Added: When closing a floating palette window by clicking the Close button in the window title, option-click now hides all detached window and cmd-click now closes all detached windows.
- Added: StyleSet name is added correctly to the converted equations for Batch conversion and InDesign's batch applying of a StyleSet.
- Changed: A few minor UI improved regarding the License info.

- Added: File - Import/Export Options: MathML tab supports two more options for "Alt Text" for MathML export to include Speech Text.
- Changed: Arrow heads (left, right, up, down) and Harpoon heads are improved on screen and for image saving file formats.
- Fixed: EPS file did not save the correct StyleSet name in the header but always had "Default Setting". (MathMagic Pro only)

- Trial version can be switched to a full version when a serial number is entered into the authorization dialog. There is no separate installer or application for Trial version. One same regular installer and its installed application works as a trial mode if you do not enter a valid serial number.
