* What's New (v5.71), September 9, 2011
  • Added: Equation size can now be specified separately for Copy rate and Export rate from File - Import/Export Options dialog - General pane.
  • Added: The position of Integral symbol can be vertically shifted by user from Define Spacing - Large Operators & Integrals pane.
  • Fixed: Greek symbols and other symbols were not using the current window's font size when pasting LaTeX.
  • Fixed: Upper Accents on a character handled better in reading LaTeX.

* What's New (v5.7), July 18, 2011
  • Fixed: Subscript or Superscript boxes next to a Greek symbol were not controlled by the gap values in the Define Spacing -> Chacter Script tab.
  • Fixed: When batch converting, the Image size was 100% larger than the selected rate in the Import/Export Options: General pane: Copy & Export size.

  • Fixed: Some 8-bit symbols and European characters in Windows Code Page 1252 were not saved correctly in EPS.
  • Fixed: Both and blocks are now recognized as a MathML.
  • Fixed: Percent symbol(\% expression) was not handled in LaTeX import.
  • Fixed: Pasting Math Speech text was recognized as ASCIIMath when comma(,) or period(.) was used in the expression.

  • Added: The name of Root Alignment under Format menu changed to Template Alignment and now works with more templates, such as Fractions or Divisions.
  • Added: Template alignment option includes the Bottom alignment.

  • Changed: A command key switched: cmd-B is for Bold face, cmd-shift-B is for Box template.
  • Fixed: Lower Brace/Bracket/Paren were too close to its upper box.

  • Added: Shift + Space bar key can also be set for a custom space width from Define Shape tab.

* System Requirements
  • Pentium or faster
  • Windows XP or newer including Vista and 7
  • About 20MB of hard disk space for complete installation

* Installation
  • If installing on Windows XP,
    • Download the latest Installer from download page
    • Double click on the installer icon to proceed the installation
    • Launch MathMagic application from Windows menu or from the following location:
      \Program Files\MathMagic Personal Edition\MathMagic Personal 5.x.exe
  • If installing on Windows Vista or newer,
    • Download the latest Installer from download page
    • Right-click on the installer application, and select 'Properties".
    • Double click on the installer icon to proceed the installation.
    • After installation, select MathMagic application from the following location:
      \Program Files\MathMagic Personal Edition\MathMagic Personal 5.x.exe
    • Right-click on it, select 'Properties".
    • Select "Windows XP" compatibility mode, and turn on "Run as an Administrator" privilege.
      (This is to make MathMagic read/write Registry correctly. Otherwise, Registry error message might be displayed.)
    • Then, launch MathMagic Personal application.
Uninstall MathMagic Personal utility will help you remove most of the installed files. But in some cases some installed files may not be removed if used by other application or system.
