* New InDesign CS2 plug-ins available.
MathMagic Pro Edition for InDesign now includes new InDesign CS2 plug-in and updated CS plug-in. New plug-ins now support more interface to let user select Embedding vs. External Link for inserted equations. They also support "Export All Equations..." command to let user export all equations from a document into a folder.
* OpenType fonts bundled and more fonts available
All MathMagic v5.1 installers now come with basic set of OpenType fonts for MathMagic.
Some more OpenType fonts that are specially designed for subscript/superscript boxes and sub-subscript boxes are available for the registered users of Pro Editions and Prime Edition upon request.
More OpenType fonts will be available for download for MathMagic customers by the end of July.
The name of the new fonts starts with 'MMa~', like "MMa Pascal".
* Some of the future spec
We still have a lot of exciting ideas in our future spec database for MathMagic, to stay in the leading edge of equation editor market.
Some of them are very practical ones and some a bit ideal. We like both. We are planning to support reading MathType® equations and saving as PDF directly(on Mac OS X) within this year.
If you have some suggestions for the future spec or bug fixing, we would like to hear about them. Please send an email to support@mathmagic.com or submit at
http://www.mathmagic.com/support/suggestion.html
For good ones, we often donate a free copy or an extended free upgrade service for your existing copy to compensate your valuable time and support.
* QuarkXPress for Windows and InCopy support postponed
MathMagic Pro for QuarkXPress 6.x for Windows has been postponed due to the limited market demand although there are some request from time to time. Same situation for InCopy plug-in.
We are sorry but it is still uncertain when we could release these versions.
* PayPal to be supported as a payment option
Although MathMagic online store at Kagi store takes variety of credit cards, some customers find PayPal more handy. So we are planning to support PayPal payment within this quarter for your convenience.
