* MathMagic Pro & Personal v5.0 for Mac released


During the Christmas holidays, MathMagic Pro & Personal v5.0 are released. Please download the latest version and enjoy free upgrade if you are a valid user for the product.

There are a lot of improvements, changes, and fixes.
Some of the major improvements are:

  • many new symbols and revised symbol palettes.
  • more control options for Define Spacing, Define Style, Define Size, and other custom setting dialogs
  • powerful and easy Nudge control with convenient interface
  • user definable TeX spacing rule interface
  • and many more.

For those who sent us bug reports and valuable comments over the last few months during the beta testing period of MathMagic v5.0, we appreciate very much for your time and support.

If you sent us bug reports and did not receive any free Thank-You-Serial or Extended Free upgrade period, please contact us again.



* OpenType font support plan


MathMagic Pro v5.0 supports OpenType fonts on OS X when specifying bold or italic or other font styles and matches its font family correctly.

But our design work for new MathMagic OpenType fonts are not finished yet so we could not include MathMagic OpenType fonts this time.
We hope to release them in Q1 2005 as a free service to our customers.

They are all new design and all body text, Greek, and Symbols will be available in OpenType as well.
You can use the current TrueType + Postscript fonts AND/OR OpenType fonts concurrently.



* MathMagic Pro for QuarkXPress 6.x Windows Beta testers wanted


MathMagic Pro for QuarkXPress 6.x for Windows will start its beta testing later Q1 2005.
If you are interested please send us an email with email subject of "MathMagic Beta Test" to support@mathmagic.com.



* MathMagic Prime Edition for large publishers available


We have a special edition of MathMagic Pro, named as Prime Edition. This is mainly for a large publishers who need more high-end editing & setting features and some customization to meet their own publishing guidelines and quality criteria including their own default fonts.
If you are interested in MathMagic Prime Edition or customizing MathMagic, please contact us for more information.

* Small Survey: Would you like MathMagic Pro Edition for Adobe Illustrator?


From time to time, some of our customers ask us if MathMagic for Adobe Illustrator would be possible.
Surely it will be possible to develop. But we are not sure if there will be some level of market for this at the moment.
If you are using Illustrator often and think MathMagic for Adobe Illustrator would be of a benefit to you, please drop us a comment to support@mathmagic.com. We would like to hear more from you.
